What is an innovator (and why they will succeed in 2017)
I am going through a rebranding process in my business where my packages are changing. I am also looking for the best way to describe my target market.
As you may know, this can be a frustrating process…find those perfect words to direct yourself to that group of people that can benefit the most from what you do.
I have been marketing to product -based businesses and stores and while they still are most of the businesses that I work with, I also get a few service-based businesses coming my way.
I studied the characteristics of both the products and services that my clients had and I realized that I am working with people that can be defined and identify as innovators: these are change-makers, innovators, people that are defying the system, and that by doing those things, they are creating new opportunities for themselves in the market and disrupting the current way of doing things.
2017 presents new opportunities for innovators for 2 main reasons:
- People are ready for better options, consumers are more informed than ever and want to obtain exactly what they need and want.
- There has never been more competition out there, and people who are just offering the same solutions as everybody else is staying behind and getting lost in the crowd, or have to resort to extreme sales techniques in order to grow their business.
But how can you take full advantage of your innovative qualities in order to grow your business:
- Stay in touch with the needs of customers to serve them exactly that.
- Communicate your competitive advantages clearly via marketing.
Do you consider yourself an innovator?
